Yes, I’ve posted this before; it’s that good.
• George Benson – Give Me The Night
If I had songs that sounded like that, I would wear those pants too.
• Texas – Say What You Want
• All Day, Every Day Remix (feat featuring Method Man and RZA)
This tune has one of those titles that make it hard to answer “what song is that?” when you’re DJing …

I had the thesis that when people TRY to play “Funk” as a genre, it sounds like shit; but when someone’s funky, whatever they play has Da Funk. I present this as proof positive. And this should also prove that there’s only two kinds of music: good and bad.
• Juan Gabriel – Hasta Que Te Conocí (En Vivo [Desde el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes])
• Bobby Fuller Four – I Fought The Law
• The Clash – I Fought The Law
• Fish Go Deep & Tracey K – The Cure & The Cause (Dennis Ferrer Remix)

At first, this song was annoying; the beat was decent but the lyrics were repetitive and her voice seemed to clash on top of the music. I thought: “OK, ha ha, it’s funny but it’s not even good comedy seeing as it only has two lines. Why couldn’t she just write more lyrics to at least try to save the song? It’s a novelty song, let me play some real music … ”.
Later, on good speakers (balanced EQ), where the bass was coming in stronger and the sound was better mixed, it started sounding good; “Damn, it’s got a little groove. OK, OK …”.
[Say what you want about the song but, back when, if you were making House in Chicago or New York you had to know a little something.]
Finally, after I saw the guy in the video doing that old House stepping (@ 1:35, on stage, black and white scene), I was trying out my own moves talking about “Don’t want no short dick man!”
This almost made “Too Good Monday” …
• Gillette and 20 Fingers – Short Dick Man

Every time I take a look inside that old and fabled book I’m blinded and reminded of the pain caused by some old man in the sky …
• Sturgill Simpson — Turtles All the Way Down
I bet she never told you everything that drifted through her mind, all the secret thoughts …
[Probably the best remix of the year 2000]
• Artful Dodger – Woman Trouble
• Sunkids Latin Thumper Mix
• The Cardigans – Erase / Rewind
